Election of Stated Clerk
TE Fred Greco Elected Stated Clerk of the PCA
The Assembly elected Teaching Elder Fred Greco of Houston Metro Presbytery as the PCA's next Stated Clerk by voice vote. The Administrative Committee presented him as its unanimous nominee, and no other candidate was nominated.
Greco will become the PCA's sixth Stated Clerk at the close of the Assembly. The office maintains the Assembly's official records, advises presbyteries and churches on polity, and coordinates the denomination's national committees and agencies.
In his remarks after the election, Greco described the office as a service to pastors, elders, sessions, and presbyteries, and said he intends to visit every presbytery in the denomination over the next several years.
